With over ten locations, Willie’s Chicken Shack serves fresh, marinated fried chicken and ready-made daiquiris to tourists and locals alike.
Looking to achieve consistency and update their image, the founder of Willie’s tasked AKA with a rebrand of this French Quarter quick-service staple. As the project unfolded, we were engaged further to advise in environmental design – establishing what would become the flagship location, thus setting the standard for all future outposts.

The client wished not to stray too far from the original Willie’s logo. In this update, we refreshed the typeset script with a custom, hand-drawn lettering wordmark for the primary logo, and gave the original Willie a fresh look.
Brand elements carry over into various packaging assets. For a business with such substantial take-out, we aimed to design collateral that had an eye-catching presence even outside of the restaurant’s doors.
Multiple applications of branded signage, wayfinding neon, and two custom-designed wallpaper installations furnish the walls of Willie’s flagship location.
