Sucré is a French-inspired café offering coffee, espresso, and beautifully made confections. Specializing in macarons, small-batch gelato, and luxurious pastries, Sucré is a destination for a decadent mid-day coffee break, delectable treat or a gourmet gift.
A sweet staple in New Orleans for over a decade, Sucré ownership changed hands post-pandemic, ushering in a new era for the company. When engaging AKA, the owners expressed the value they found in retaining brand recognition, while simultaneously wanting to freshen the aesthetic . The Sucré team trusted our balanced approach, leading to a successful and well-received launch of this rebrand.

Subtle adjustments to the lettering proved impactful for the logotype–which pays homage to the original while holding its own.
We introduced a sketched, guache-inspired illustration style to complement the type. Using the Sucré palette and textures to support recognition and consistency would benefit the brand as illustrations carry over into web, retail merchandise, stationery, and custom seasonal window vinyls.
Sucré stands out from it’s competitors with elevated packaging — making even a single confection fit for gifting. Print collateral was designed with materials top of mind. We advised on touches of high-end papers and metallic foils. The highly-anticipated seasonal King Cake ships nationwide with packaging that features custom illustrations that play on a Carnival-inspired toile pattern.
An extension of the Sucré storefront, we wanted web to welcome every visitor with a treat for the eyes. We built an easy to navigate, ecommerce website with styled photography, custom illustration, interactive menus, and integration with the GoldBelly platform.
